Scripture Union's international placements schemes have two new names: Action Abroad and Frontline Mission Teams (see link on the right).

The two schemes now offer more opportunities than ever for young people to take part in short-term mission initiatives, in line with Scripture Union's recent strategic plan.

Action Abroad offers six month placements for people aged 18 plus.

Frontline Teams link individuals aged 18-plus or church groups with summer mission assignments.

‘We want to grow the work to allow even more young people to gain a valuable world mission perspective’, says Clare Luxton, Missions Programme Manager.

Earlier this year, a group of 20 young people headed off to projects ranging from South Africa to India.

‘I think I really needed God to take me out of my cosy environment in order for me to hear him. I’ve definitely grown closer to Him.
